The next generation of camera vehicle stabilization
We've modified a new Toyota 4 Runner with a FlowCine Black Arm and DJI Ronin2 which provides stable shots at high speeds using a variety of camera and lens combinations. We are capable of carrying camera payloads of up to 30lbs and filming at speeds of over 120km/hr.
More details below.
The professional gear needed to get the shots you want.
The Flowcine 'Black Arm' is a 3-axis vibration dampening system for stabilizing roll, tilt and vertical motion for vehicle gimbal operations. The DJI Ronin 2 gimbal attaches to the Black Arm and becomes a 6 axis vehicle stabilization system.
Together these two products allow for high speed camera vehicle work on highways or offroad. With a modular design we are able to carry up to 30lb payloads at over 120km/hr.
View all your footage in real time on a 19" Atomos Sumo monitor. Placed behind the driver/passenger seats this monitor is great for viewing at any angle and is capable of recording and playback for fast review.
We also provide a 7" Atomos Inferno for the personnel in the front passenger seat so they have full input during the shoot.
All monitors are hard wired from the camera to monitors via SDI cables.
Wireless motors are attached to each focus/iris/zoom (FIZ) gear on the lens providing you with real time control of all lens capabilities. The lens' FIZ is controlled inside the vehicle with a hand unit that is operated by an personnel inside the vehicle.
The FIZ system we use is the Tilta Nucleus-M system which is the best, light weight setup we have found.
Even if it’s pouring rain or dumping snow we can film!
We use a Sprayoff Micro RainSpinner, this tool spins a circular piece of glass at high speed and throws away all moisture that hits the lens. This gives you options to shoot in rain or snow and always get a clean shot.
We bag up the camera and stabilizers to make sure no water affects the electronics and causes issues.
Please contact us for more details.
If you want to shoot anamorphic, spherical primes or zoom lenses we are able to mount a large variety of lenses with ease.
Our most efficient and time saving lens option is a Fujinon 20-120 zoom lens that gives you a wide range of focal lengths that can be used on the fly. We’ve can also mounted large anamorphic lenses such as the 10lb Hawk 30mm C-series lens and other lenses in that weight range.
If you have a specific lens you’d like to use please let us know and we can find a solution for you.
We always provide a trained personnel who knows the whole vehicle system inside and out. If a problem was to ever arise our ground crew will know how to fix it and keep the footage rolling.
We can also assist in providing film permits if your job requires.
